The Xiaomi Mi 12 series has managed to hit the stores in China at the end of last year. Today, following the launch in the domestic market, the manufacturer also released three amazing models globally. As you should know, the lineup includes three models of Mi 12, Mi 12 Pro, and Mi 12X.

Xiaomi Mi 12

The vanilla Xiaomi Mi 12 comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The screen size is 6.28 inches and it has an FHD+ resolution as well as uses an AMOLED material. It also provides a peak refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz. The peak brightness is 1100 nits and of course, it supports 100% DCI-P3 coverage.

On the front, the phone hosts a 32-megapixel selfie camera. But on the opposite side, there’s a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main sensor supporting OIS. Other than that, the main camera is accompanied by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel telephoto sensor. The camera is capable of recording 8K videos, 4K HDR10+ videos, and supports night mode and Xiaomi ProFocus technology.

The Xiaomi Mi 12 is powered by a 4500mAh battery, which supports a 67W wired fast charging, a 50W wireless fast charging, and a 10W reverse wireless charging. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint sensor and dual speakers.

In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi Mi 12 offers 5G NR support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. Thus, the phone supports all the latest connectivity options. Lastly, it runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12.

The Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro packs all the high-end features found on the 2022 flagships. And we are not talking about Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

On the front, there is a massive 6.73-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED center-punch-hole display. The latter offers a peak refresh rate of 120Hz, supports variable refresh rates, and touch sampling rates up to 480Hz. The rest of the screen parameters include 100% DCI-P3 coverage, 1500 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

The Mi 12 Pro sports a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Whereas, on the back, there is a 50-megapixel main wide-angle camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). Plus, there are other 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and 50-megapixel telephoto sensors. They are capable of recording 8K videos. Other than that, the phone offers 4K HDR10+ recording support, night mode support for all three rear cameras, and support for Xiaomi ProFocus (Motion Tracking Focus / Motion Capture / Eye Tracking Focus).

The Mi 12 Pro has a built-in 4600mAh battery that supports 120W wired speed and can be fully charged in just 18 minutes. The device also features 50W wireless fast charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support. Other features include Goodix’s new in-display light sensor for automatic display color correction, the Surge P1 chip for enhanced battery efficiency, an in-display fingerprint sensor, quad speakers, and more.

In terms of connectivity, the Mi 12 Pro offers 5G NR support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. The device runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12.

Xiaomi Mi 12X

The Xiaomi Mi 12X is an affordable model with a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip, up to 8GB of LPDDR5 memory, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display is the same as the Mi 12.

The Mi 12X also features the same camera hardware as the Mi 12, including a 50-megapixel IMX766 main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Though it’s an affordable model, it still supports 8K video recording support but lacks 4K HDR10+ video capture and Xiaomi ProFocus support.

Under the hood, the handset houses a 4500mAh battery that supports 67W wired fast charging. However, there is no wireless charging support. Other notable features include an in-screen fingerprint sensor and dual speakers.

In terms of connectivity, the Mi 12X offers 5G NR support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. Like the other two models, it runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12.

Xiaomi Mi 12 Series Price

The new Mi 12 series will be available in various regions in the coming weeks, including but not limited to Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. At this time, Xiaomi has not shared complete pricing and availability information for all regions. But we know how much the base models will cost:
