Motorola debuts Samsung’s 200MP HP1 sensor – Xiaomi will be next

Samsung has since developed the 200MP camera but like other sensors, it will not be the first to use it. Recall that Xiaomi was the first brand to use Samsung’s 108MP sensor. Samsung officially stated that the HP1 200-megapixel sensor will be used by mobile phone manufacturers. Obviously, Moto will be the first, and then Xiaomi. Not long ago, Motorola officially issued a document saying: “A new benchmark for image experience that is not limited to parameters, opening the era of 200MP mobile photography”. With this notice, the company officially announces its 200MP sensor. The first Motorola smartphone with a 200MP HP1 sensor will launch in July.

In addition to previous reports, the Motorola 200MPĀ HP1 sensor smartphone will also come with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC. This smartphone is the same device that uses the codename Frontier. Furthermore, this device will also support 125W super fast charging.

Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor

From the reports so far, the size of theĀ Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor is 1/1.22 inches. The unit pixel is 0.64 Ī¼m, and it supports ISOCELL 3.0 technology. It can complete 4-in-1 or 16-in-1 pixel combination according to the scene. In addition, the 200MP HP1 sensor can shoot 2.56 Ī¼m, 1.28 Ī¼m 50-megapixel still photos.

Meanwhile, the ISOCELL HP1 can shoot 8K video at 30 frames per second (fps) with minimal loss of field of view. Reduce the resolution to 50MP or 8192×6144 to shoot 8K (7680×4320) video without cropping or downscaling the full image resolution by merging 4 adjacent pixels. It is worth mentioning that as early as November last year, there were reports that Samsung’s 200MP HP1 sensor will be launched by Motorola. At the time, there were also reports Xiaomi will also use this sensor. However, the speculations reveal that the Xiaomi device will arrive in the second half of next year. After Motorola and Xiaomi, then Samsung will use this sensor.
