Oppo Find N Fold and Flip will arrive in the fall with the SD 8+ G1

Oppo Find N foldable phone

Oppo is working on two new foldable smartphones with top-of-the-range chips, specifically Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. The well-known leaker Yogesh Brar believes this. As you can imagine, one will have a book form factor – Galaxy Fold 4 or MIX Fold 2 style. Just to name the most recently announced competitors. And a clamshell-style smartphone like the Galaxy Z Flip 4 or Moto RAZR 2022.

The two smartphones would also be relatively close to launch: a presentation may take place during the fall. The names are perhaps a bit trivial, but easily understood: Find N Fold and Find N Flip. We should note that the very first foldable smartphone of the company, with book form factor, holds simply the Find N nomination.

Oppo upcoming foldable smartphones will arrive in the autumn

For the moment, the two devices are still largely in shadows. There are no concrete rumors and credible technical details to report (other than the SoC, of course). The names are not official, on the contrary: they have been spotted in recent days on the database of the European office for intellectual property.

Gizchina News of the week

Find N was judged very positively by most reviewers mainly due to its less slender form factor, and therefore a bit more comfortable than Samsung’s Fold line. Google is also preparing a foldable smartphone with almost the same proportions. Unfortunately, however, its international debut has remained very limited – in essence, to buy it in global markets you have to rely on importers and the parallel market, which is never the best.

Oppo Find N

JD Mobile Communications has recently announced that the Oppo Find N has become the top seller in the foldable smartphone category on the JD platform in the first half of 2022.

Oppo Find N was available since December 2021 with a starting price of $1140. This foldable smartphone has been in short supply since the early days. The device received a display that is almost devoid of a crease at the flexion point. And a Seiko quasi-tapered teardrop-shaped hinge developed by Oppo. Thanks to this hinge, the crease almost disappears, and the life of the smartphone becomes longer. The cost of such a hinge is three times more than usual.
