Today, a Weibo leaker disclosed some details about the Xiaomi Mi 13 flagship. For instance, according to the source, the phone will sport a Quad-HD LTPO display with an AMOLED panel. We guess most of you are not familiar with these phrases. So let’s get into details.

Gizchina News of the week

  • Quad-HD refers to a 2560 x 1440p resolution. Thus, it’s higher than Full-HD. Therefore, it can bring a better performance.
  • LTPO technology means that you (or the phone itself) can adjust the refresh rate. Due to it, the device will consume less energy.
  • Finally, AMOLED is an OLED screen with additional features, such as better flexibility. Due to it, the manufacturers can make curved screens. And we guess Xiaomi will use this feature. Moreover, this material allows for achieving thin bezels. One of the best examples of AMOLED material that can be used is the newly-announced Nothing Phone (1).

However, we should recall that the current Xiaomi Mi 12 has already come with an outstanding screen. Thus, this is not new for the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 13. The company just retains the class. Moreover, several Xiaomi and Redmi devices have reached the ceiling in the industry regarding displays. And it’s quite hard to imagine what else it can bring.

Lastly, our protagonist will sport the yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. There is still no info concerning its parameters and performance, but undoubtedly, it will outrun the current model.
