How To Pre-Order iPad Pro With M2, iPad 2022, and Apple TV 4K

iPad Pro with M2

Yesterday, the Cupertino-based tech giant released new iPad products and Apple TV 4K. However, as expected, no announcements were issued through live-streamed events. The reason is that the products in the hotspot donā€™t come with many major improvements.

Currently, all of the newly-announced Apple products are available for booking via the Apple online store. So we recommend you take a quick look at the new products and follow the white rabbit link to place your pre-order.

Apple iPad (10th gen) 2022

Among all the new products announced last night, the new iPad has the most significant changes. First, externally, the new Apple product looks like the iPad Air. There is a 10.9-inch IPS display with a whopping 2,360 x 1,640 resolution and 500 nits of peak brightness. The tablet has flatter edges and slimmer bezels, and the company has eliminated the Home button. The iPad 10th gen uses a USB-C port for charging and data transfer. In terms of endurance, the new product promises to bring 10 hours of video viewing and web browsing on WiFi.

Also, the rear camera has a 12MP sensor instead of the 8MP one in the previous generation. As for the selfie shooter, itā€™s located along the landscape edge of the tablet. It supports WiFi 6, 5G networks, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Under the hood, the new iPad hosts the Apple A14 Bionic SoC. This is the same processor found in the 2020 iPad Air and the iPhone 12. Though it still falls behind the latest A16 Bionic, this is a major update compared to the 10.2-inch iPad’s A13 Bionic chip.

This version of the iPad only supports the 1th-gen Apple Pencil.

There are four color options you can choose from: blue, pink, silver, and yellow. The 64GB variant of the WiFi-only model costs $449, while the 256GB model is $599. The 5G version costs $599 and $749, respectively. All versions will commence shipping on October 26.

For this tablet and iPad Air and Pro, the Cupertino-based company is offering the $249 Magic Keyboard Folio case.

At the same time, the previous-gen iPad still costs $329.

iPad Pro with M2 Chip

The iPad Pro offers two screen sizes – 11-inch and 12.9-inch. However, the models come with a single improvement: the new M2 chip. But we guess this is enough to call it a new-generation model. We mean this is the same chip found in the latest MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro. There are even no changes in the color variants. Thus, you can choose from the silver or space gray colorways.

As the selling point of this tablet is the new M2 chip, we guess you wonder whether the difference is noticeable. Yes, it is. However, apart from the SoC change, the new tablet also supports much faster WiFi 6E networks, Bluetooth 5.3, and “more 5G networks around the world.”

The second-gen Apple Pencils brings a new “hover” feature. Simply put, the tablet will detect the pen when itā€™s up to 12mm away from the display. But this is not anything new in the tablet market. Probably, you are familiar with the identical feature of past Samsung phones and tablets.

The new iPad Pro still supports up to 120 Hz refresh rates. However, only the larger-screen version comes with a brighter and more vibrant Mini LED panel. Thus, the 11-inch model sports a LED display. The interfaces, camera sensors, and accessory support are not changed.

Nonetheless, the iPad Pro products are considered the best tablets in Appleā€™s lineup. Unfortunately, this also means they will cost a fortune. For instance, the 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB storage variants of the 11-inch model cost $899, $1,099, $1,499, and $1,899, respectively. The same storage variants of the 12.9-inch Pro cost $1,199, $1,399, $1,799, and $2,199. Plus, if you want them to support 5G connectivity, add an extra $200 to the abovementioned prices. It will start shipping on October 26.

Apple TV 4K (3rd gen)

The press releases published yesterday show that Apple has stopped selling the Apple TV HD. Thatā€™s quite logical because the company brings more affordable Apple TV 4K.

Apple TV 4K

The first and biggest improvement is the change from 2018’s A12 Bionic SoC to the faster A15 Bionic chip. Also, the new Apple TV 4K supports HDR10+ playback and Dolby Vision HDR. The Siri-enabled remote supports USB-C charging. There is no Lightning port anymore.

Due to these changes, the box has become 50% lighter and thinner. But the rest remains unchanged.

The new Apple TV 4K costs $129 for 64GB of storage. We understand itā€™s still costlier than a Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max. But if you are an Apple fan, this should be what you need because the previous model was priced at $179. And this was the price for the 32GB variant. As for the Apple TV 4K, there is another storage option. The 128GB of storage version costs $149. Plus, the latter comes with a Gigabit Ethernet port and support for the Thread mesh networking protocol. Thus, it can turn into a smart home hub.

You can pre-order the new Apple TV 4K now. But according to the manufacturer, it wonā€™t start sales until November 4.
