The Chinese mobile phone market is the most complex and competitive in the world. This is because there is no brand without an alternative. This market is not like the U.S. which is “Apple-Centric” or the South Korean market which is “Samsung-Centric”. There is a long list of Chinese mobile phone brands that sell decent devices in China. Last year, the release of the Xiaomi 12S series allowed Xiaomi to stand firmly in the high-end camp. Since then, other models that followed like the Xiaomi 13 series have had the same good reputation.

In addition to the high-end market, Xiaomi’s overall performance in the global market in 2022 is also very impressive. According to market research firm Canalys’ global mobile phone market data for 2022 and Q4, among the top five brands, Chinese brands will continue to occupy three seats. In the list, Xiaomi ranks third with a market share of 13% and it’s the first among Chinese brands. Only Samsung in first position and Apple in second position performs better.
