Riot Games’ VPD Will Ensure Innovative Experience For Valorant Players

Riot Games VDP

Riot games has recently announced that it is going to reveal its Valorant Data Portal (VDP). Not to mention, the VDP is an innovative platform that offers a comprehensive in-game data for casual players and professionals.

It is first of its kind, and it is going to be of great help for gamers. Riot Games is in partnership with GRID – a Berlin based company, to develop this portal. The platform will provide exclusive data to Valorant players. Earlier, this data was not available to players.

How Can Riot Games VDP Help Valorant Players?

The platform allows teams to have a detailed report of all their matches. In addition, users can access the private scrims and other data using custom options. Users can also search, query, and filter the entire dataset. According to Riot, “The system is easy to use, fully automated and allows private data access through a secure API or application-based user interface.”

Riot Games’ lead of Competitive Data Programs for Esports, John Knauss, says in a statement, “We are excited to be working with GRID on crafting the future of esports data for the VALORANT Champions Tour. GRID, as a partner, is highly aligned with our goals around data accessibility and Riot’s core values. The VALORANT Data Portal is the first step in our shared vision for making official VALORANT data more broadly available, starting with our professional teams.”

For now, the platform is in testing phase; therefore, the company is offering a limited access to players. Currently, it is available to only 30 partnered VCT teams. Moreover, these teams are in Sao Paulo in VCT LOCK//IN. However, Riot games is considering making this platform available to all other players, but the date is yet to be revealed.

We will keep you informed if we hear something official. If you remember, GRID and Riot Games made a partnership last year. The two-year partnership for Valorant esports has now resulted in announcement of Riot Games VDP. The deal says that GRID will use data to offer players an innovative experience. It will also distribute data assets across the global and regional tournaments of the game.
