The lenses are a great addition to making Teams a more pleasing and impressive tool. With these lenses, users can turn themselves into cartoon characters, change backgrounds onto webcam feeds, and add a virtual snow.

To set up new Microsoft Teams Snapchat lenses, you will have to choose the Video Effects option and then tap on Snapchat. All lenses are already released to Teams users. This is the start of something great as both companies are working to power up Microsoft’s augmented reality tech. Both companies decided to use Snap’s Camera Kit to add the augmented reality kit to Microsoft Teams.

Earlier, Microsoft added the Camera Kit to use Snap’s AR features in Flip, which is a video learning platform of Microsoft. The platform permits instructors to start video discussions with their students by prompting them. Since Microsoft added the integration to the Flip, students and teachers can post videos to the platform.

Snapchat had its desktop app for users who want to use Lenses for third party video calling services. Earlier this year, the social media platform ditched the Snap camera app. Let’s see how crucial the Microsoft Teams Snapchat Lenses feature will be.
