Honor X9B 5G Received BIS Certification Suggesting A Launch in India

Honor made its glorious return to the Indian market earlier this year with the release of the Honor 90 5G. The company that no longer is part of Huawei’s business and now operates with independent wings aims to conquer a good slice of the competitive market of India. After the launch of one of its most attractive devices, the brand plans a minor release introducing the Honor X9b 5G. The smartphone has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification which suggests a nearing launch in India. 

To recall, the Honor X9B 5G was launched globally in October. Now, the same device with model number ALI-NX1 is in the India BIS certification. To those unaware, this model number carries the Honor X9B 5G designation. With the release in India, Honor seems to be aiming at the market range that has some mid-range smartphones like the Realme 11 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

Honor X9B 5G Specifications

The Honor X9B is a decent mid-range smartphone that carries an AMOLED screen of 6.78 inches. The panel has a 2,652 x 1,220 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,200 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the phone carries the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 (4nm). The phone comes with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of Internal Storage.

In terms of optics, the handset has a triple-camera setup. It is led by a 108 MP main camera that comes alongside a 5 MP ultrawide shooter and a 2 MP macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, the device brings a 16 MP shooter. It’s a decent camera setup and the presence of an ultrawide shooter is good news here.

The Honor X9B also brings a 5,800 mAh battery which gives it a certain advantage over the competition. The battery charges via a 33W fast charging tech. The phone also includes a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication and runs on Android 13-based MagicOS 7.

The Honor X9b is available in Sunrise Orange, Emerald Green, Titanium Silver, and Midnight Black. It’s unclear if all these variants will make their way to the market in India. The phone costs about $439 in Singapore and that could be converted to around INR 27,000. As a result, its would be in the same territory as other mid-range phones like the Redmi Note 13 series and Realme 11 series. We expect Honor to share more details about the phone’s availability in the coming days.
