Oppo A3: Key Specifications Revealed by TENAA

This month Oppo unveiled the Oppo A3 Pro for its mid-range A-series. The launch was intriguing, after all, we didn’t see a vanilla Oppo A3. This will be fixed soon as the missing piece of this lineup will quickly join the Pro variant. The vanilla Oppo A3 (PJT110) has just cleared TENAA certification, which revealed some interesting details about the upcoming smartphone. Thanks to the listing, we know some of its key specifications.

Oppo A3 – Key Specifications

The Oppo A3 is equipped with a fairly large 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 1080p+ resolution. TENAA does not reveal the refresh rate, but we expect at least 90Hz for this mid-range phone. The device measures 162.9 x 75.6 x 8.1mm and weighs 191g. It’s thicker and heavier than the Pro variant but that shouldn’t be a surprise as the vanilla certainly will be cheaper. It is worth noting, however, that the phone has a bigger battery with 5,500 mAh. It’s 500mAh more than the Pro, and that should explain the extra thickness and weight. The charging speed, however, is only half at 33W over the 67W offered by the Pro.

According to TENAA, the Oppo A3 will have a dual-camera setup on the back. It will be composed of a 50 MP primary camera and a 2 MP helper. The device will come with a 16 MP selfie shooter for selfies and video calls. For a quick comparison, the Oppo A3 Pro has a 64 MP main camera a 2 MP helper on the rear, and an 8 MP selfie shooter on the front.

Unfortunately, the chipset isn’t confirmed by TENAA. We know the Pro variant has a Dimensity 7050, so we expect something slightly inferior for the vanilla. The phone will have multiple configurations with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128GB/256/512GB of Internal Storage. Unlike the Pro model, this one will also include a micro SD card slot. TENAA hasn’t posted photos of the Oppo A3 yet and we don’t have any leaks that show its design. We expect more details on its design to appear soon.

The Oppo A2 and Oppo A2 Pro launched over a month apart. That said, we expect the Oppo A3 to launch sometime in the next month.
