Vivo V60 Launches in India — Big Battery, ZEISS Optics, and a Slim Frame

Vivo has officially brought its new V60 to India, and the headline spec almost sounds made up — a 6,500 mAh battery inside a phone that’s just 7.53mm thick. For reference, that’s slimmer than some flagships with half the capacity. The V60 replaces the V50 from February, and this time Vivo seems to be going after users who want both serious endurance and premium camera hardware without spending flagship money.

Vivo V60: Main camera that delivers

The rear camera system is where the company is flexing. The star is a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto with optical image stabilization and 3x optical zoom — the same lens setup seen in Vivo’s X200. It’s joined by a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera (also with OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide. Vivo is throwing in some India-focused features too, like Wedding vLog mode and AI Four-Season Portraits, which are basically filter-and-lighting tweaks tuned for local tastes. The front camera is no slouch either: 50MP with a 92° field of view, wide enough for group selfies.

Powering the V60 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The phone has vapor chamber cooling — a nice-to-have for gamers or anyone doing long video recording sessions. Charging speeds hit 90W, which is important when you’ve got such a huge battery to top up.

On the front is a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with curves on all four edges, a 120Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, and a claimed 5,000 nits peak brightness — meaning it should stay visible even under harsh sunlight.

Software-wise, it ships with Android 15 running Funtouch OS 15. Vivo says it will push four major OS updates and six years of security patches, which is above average for this price segment.
