Looks like plans for the
iPhone 5 have been knocked off course due to the Japanese earthquakes and tsunami, and may not see until either December this year or early . The latest contradict what Korean telecom provider, SK Telecom, claimed last week which was that the at the and will be available as early a few weeks after the June Developers conference.
Other claims suggest that
Apple are currently reshuffling their supply channels to counter any supply problems so they can still
launch the 5th generation iPhone in September.
Apple have a history of changing designs and specifications at the last moment, the original
iPad had room for a Facetime
camera and the 3rd gen iPod Touch had space for a rear camera, however both we’re removed from the equation at the last minute, so a last minute juggling of suppliers doesn’t sound to far fetched.
Then again is it possible the iPhone 5 has been delayed so
Apple are planning to
launch a new
3rd generation iPad sooner much sooner than anyone would expect so as to keep the
Apple media juggernaut going?
Whatever the case maybe we at least don’t have to wait long until this June’s
WWDC to see what Steve Jobs and Co. have in store for
us.
