In the Indian smartphone market, Apple has no place in the top 5 according to Canalys.
Xiaomi ranks first, displacing Samsung with shipments of 9.2 million units and a 21% market share. This is for the third quarter of this year.
Samsung, Vivo, and OPPO rank second, third and fourth respectively. These brands shipped 8.1 million units (18%), 7.3 million units (16%), and 7.1 million units (16%), respectively. Realme fell to fifth with only 6.2 million units (14%) of shipment. Perhaps, the production of iPhones in India could help to boost the company's performance.
