Huawei MatePad 5G Announced: A Tablet Focusing On Online Education

Today, Huawei’s new 5G tablet, the Huawei MatePad 5G, was officially released. It costs 3199 yuan ($473). It will be officially launched on September 23.

Compared with the Huawei MatePad 4G version, the Huawei MatePad 5G is upgraded to Kirin 820 chip, which supports dual-mode 5G network. With the blessing of 5G fast network, the Huawei MatePad 5G only needs a few seconds to cache a high-definition movie through the video application.

Not only that, the Huawei MatePad 5G also has a 10.4-inch 2K eye protection full screen. The latter supports Huawei’s self-developed ‘sharp screen’ display enhancement technology. Its screen-to-body ratio is 84%. There are also four large-amplitude speakers and HUAWEI Histen 6.1 stereo sound technology support. All these bring an immersive viewing experience.

In terms of battery life, the Huawei MatePad 5G has a battery capacity of 7250mAh. It can play local video for 12.5 hours or play 3D games for 7.5 hours with a full charge. The battery supports 22.5W fast charge and can charge 30% in 30 minutes.

More importantly, the Huawei MatePad 5G has developed a smart split-screen function for online education. The tablet can use half of the screen for online lessons and the other half to record the key points. The tablet comes with the Huawei M-Pencil stylus, which has a 4096-level pressure sensitivity and low latency as low as 20ms.

At the same time, the Huawei MatePad 5G has a shadow follower function, which uses a wide-angle front camera of up to 107°.
