The
launch of the Mediatek
MT6589T has sparked a race between Chinese
phone makers to update their
flagship phones. The latest to join the Turbo party is the
THL W8+.
The Youth version of the
THL W8 (1GB
RAM) has been on sale for months now, but hardcore
phone fans have been holding off until the
launch of the
THL W8+ with
2GB RAM, but that won't be the only difference!
THL have just announced that the W8+ will also be upgraded to the faster 1.5Ghz
MT6589T processor, which is said to offer up to 35% more performance over the standard
quad-core chip.
Other specification highlights include a 5-inch FHD 1920 x
1080 display with a pixel density of 441ppi,
13 mega-pixel main camera, 32GB ROM and
Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Like the Neo N003 Turbo, the new
W8 will be available from June.
