The
OnePlus 15 is nearly here. Its
launch event is set for October 27th
in China. In the weeks leading up to the reveal, OnePlus has been teasing key
specifications.
After detailing the screen earlier, the company has now
shared
major news about the phone’s battery system. They have just confirmed a huge
upgrade for their newest flagship.
Massive
Battery and Blazing Charge Speeds
The
OnePlus 15 comes with a huge 7300mAh battery, one of
the biggest the company has ever used. To make sure you don’t spend ages
waiting for it to charge, OnePlus built in seriously fast charging tech.
The
phone supports
120W wired charging, so you can go from low to full in just a
few minutes. If you prefer going wireless, it also handles 50W wireless
charging, which is still quick and convenient. Put together, you get a phone
that lasts a long time and charges fast, no matter how you choose to plug in.
Design and Durability
OnePlus has also shared a closer look at the phone’s
design. In a short video, the company showed the “Absolute Black” version,
which has a smooth matte finish and a tough, scratch-resistant surface.
The
back of the device is expected to withstand light marks, and any small scuffs can
be wiped away without much effort.
Performance and Software
When it comes to performance, the global version of the
OnePlus 15 has already appeared on Geekbench. From the listing, we know that
the device will run on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and 12GB of
RAM.
Fans who purchase the device are expected to get the latest
update out of the box. This is because the device is set to
Android 16. With
its powerful hardware, strong build, and big battery, the phone looks ready to
stand among the top Android flagships this year. Fingers crossed as we wait for
the final launch in about a week.
