OnePlus is getting
ready to kick off the New Year with a splash. The company just pulled back the
curtain on the official colour lineup for its highly anticipated
Turbo 6
series. These new devices are set to make their formal debut during a special
event on January 8th.
A Vibrant New Palette
The upcoming release
will
feature a total of six different colour options spread across two models. For the standard Turbo 6, users can choose between Chasing Light
Silver, Wilderness Green, and Lone Black. Meanwhile, the Turbo 6V will
offer Fearless Blue, Nova White, and its own version of Lone Black. Each
of these finishes uses a solid-colour approach that feels modern and
uncluttered.
OnePlus has also added
some subtle design touches to make the colours stand out. For example, if you pick the silver Turbo 6,
you’ll notice a cool white outline circling the camera lens. But if you go with
the white 6V, the back has a subtle "hairline" pattern that looks and
feels just like brushed metal.
Performance
and Durability Goals
While the colours are
the current focus, OnePlus has also shared some hints about what these phones
are built to do. Louis Jie, the president of OnePlus China, explained that the
Turbo series is designed for "high-energy" users who need reliable
gear. The Turbo 6 is being positioned as a performance powerhouse. It inherits high-end speed and top-tier battery life from the company's more
expensive flagship models.
The Turbo 6V takes
a slightly different path. Rather than just going for raw
speed, the 6V is built to stand the test of time. OnePlus is calling it the
"Endurance King". This is its way of saying it’s designed to stay
snappy and reliable even after you’ve been using it heavily for a few years.
Official Launch Details
Tech
fans won't have to wait much longer to see these phones in action. The official launch event is scheduled for 7:00 PM on January 8th.
During the event, OnePlus will finally reveal all the nitty-gritty tech specs. More importantly, it will reveal how much these phones will actually cost. Since they’re
using the "Turbo" name, most people expect these to be high-speed devices
that won’t break the bank, offering a top-tier experience for a much lower
price than your typical high-end smartphone.
