Changhong, known throughout
China for the televisions, is attempting to break in to the
Android phone market with the
Changhong Z9 with impressive
specs and large
battery.
This isn’t the
first time
Changhong have launched an Android smartphone in China, but it is the
first handset from the company to actually worth looking at. The Z9 is based around a
5.5-inch 1280
display wrapped in a black and gold body (and
design older Chinese gentlemen will likely appreciate).
Under its ‘classy exterior’ hides some interesting guts including dual-sim support,
quad-core MT6589T
CPU, 1GB RAM, 16GB memory, but most impressive of all for a 9mm thick
phone a 5000mAh
battery. This mixture of sensible hardware and large
battery should ensure some serious
battery life!
So is there are catch besides the design? Yes, the price of the
Changhong Z9 isn’t exactly cheap at 2499 Yuan, which is more than the Xiaomi Mi3, and put’s it in to similar price territory as the 8-core Meizu MX3 and the developers favourite
Oppo Find 5!
