Newman have announced that the
Newman K1A Panda will go
on sale in just a few, and earlier adopters will enjoy a generous $65
discount!
The Newman K1A panda is a larger version of the current K1, Mediatek powered
phone which budget a few
cost cutting measures thrown in to keep the
retail price low. Like the current K1 the K1A panda is a
quad-core Mediatek powered phone, but in this cases uses the
MT6589M variant which is slightly less powerful. Another difference is the screen size which is 5.3-inch on the Panda with a resolution of 960 x 540.
Other details and
specs are pretty much identical to the K1 including 1GB
RAM, 4GB built-in memory,
SD card expansion, 8 mega-pixel rear camera,
Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 2000mAh battery.
Chinese customers will be able to begin ordering the phone online from 24th June at a introduction price of just 899 Yuan ($146), this will later rise to 1299 Yuan ($212) so don’t expect stock to last very long at all!
