Benchmark scores don't always tell the full story. They do, however, reveal where smartphone makers are focusing their efforts. The latest AnTuTu flagship rankings show one trend becoming impossible to ignore: Android brands are still chasing raw performance, and Qualcomm remains firmly in control of that race.

Leading the pack is the Red Magic 11S Pro, which posted the highest score recorded on the benchmark platform this month.
That's no small achievement.

Summary

  • Red Magic 11S Pro topped the May AnTuTu rankings.
  • The device posted a score above 4.17 million points.
  • Qualcomm powered nine of the top ten phones.
  • Vivo and iQOO combined placed four devices in the rankings.
  • Xiaomi failed to secure a single top-ten position.

Red Magic Takes the Crown

The gaming-focused Red Magic brand has never been shy about performance. This time, it went even further.
The Red Magic 11S Pro finished first with a reported score of 4,171,821 points, edging out several high-profile rivals. The iQOO 15 Ultra followed closely behind, while the Vivo X300 Ultra Satellite Communication Edition completed the top three.
The gaps between devices weren't huge. That's important.
Once scores reach this level, differences often become difficult to notice in everyday use. Most users won't feel a major distinction between phones separated by a few percentage points in synthetic tests. Still, manufacturers care deeply about these rankings. And so do enthusiasts.

Qualcomm Dominates Again

The more interesting story may not be which phone finished first. It's which chip powered almost all of them. Nine of the top ten devices reportedly use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 processor. Only one phone in the ranking relies on a competing MediaTek chipset. That's a striking result.

For years, MediaTek has narrowed the performance gap with Qualcomm. In some areas, it has even challenged its rival directly. Yet when brands build devices designed to top benchmark charts, Qualcomm continues to be the preferred choice. At least for now.

Vivo Quietly Had the Best Month

The headline belongs to Red Magic. The broader victory may belong to Vivo. Between its core brand and iQOO sub-brand, the company secured four places in the top ten. That level of representation suggests Vivo's flagship strategy is paying off, particularly among performance-focused buyers. One absence stands out, though.
Xiaomi didn't place a single device in the ranking. For a company that has often competed aggressively in benchmark comparisons, that result feels unusual. Of course, benchmark charts change quickly.
New devices arrive. Software updates improve scores. Competitors respond. But for this month, the message is clear. Red Magic owns the performance crown, while Qualcomm continues to dominate the hardware powering the Android flagship market.
