Samsung admits that OneUI 5.1 has a lock screen bug - released a fix

Samsung recently admitted that the lock screen on the Galaxy phone did not function properly after being upgraded to the OneUI 5.1 operating system. There were several complaints from users on social media sites like Twitter and Reddit. The most common complaints from Samsung users were that the screen would suddenly lock up or stall in the middle of a task. This will leave the user with a dark screen when they tried to open it again.

Samsung stated it will release an update to address the lock screen bug after noting the issues. Subsequently, the company released an update and advised users to check for available updates. After installing the update, users reported that the bug is now fixed. To search for available updates, go to the settings of the Galaxy mobile phone and scroll down and tap on "Software Update". Then click on "Download and Install" to get the latest update.

After the OneUI 5.1 update, many Samsung Galaxy users reported issues with their lock screens. Some users reported that the lock screen clock style reverted to default after applying a new wallpaper. Others reported that the color palette did not work when a new wallpaper was applied. Some users were unable to access the edit UI by holding on the lock screen or from the edit lock screen option. These issues made it difficult for users to customize their lock screens as they desired.
