South Korean tech giant
Samsung has been releasing new updates for its devices. Just last week, the company released the
One
UI 8 stable update for the Galaxy S25 lineup. Now, the newest foldables, the
Galaxy Z Fold6 and the
Galaxy Z Flip6, are also
joining the list.
Stable
Update Goes Live in South Korea
The update has officially started
rolling out in Samsung’s home market, South Korea. At the moment, it is
available first for users who took part in the beta program.
If you’re one of
them, you can already download the stable build on your device. Non-beta users
in South Korea should see the update arrive soon.
As for global rollout, there is no official date at the time of writing. However, we expect this update to land in the coming weeks.
Firmware
Versions and Security Patch
For the Galaxy Z Fold6, the update
carries firmware version F956NKSU2CYI7.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 is getting version F741NKSU2CYI6.
These updates will come with One UI 8 features as well as the September 2025 Android security patch.
This security patch will ensure you’re your device is up to date and protected
from the latest threats.
What’s
Inside One UI 8
One UI 8 is Samsung’s take on
Android 16. It comes with major improvements like smarter AI tools and visual
refinements. It also comes with improved multitasking features and a tighter
integration across Samsung’s ecosystem.
The Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 are expected to
benefit especially from multitasking features because of their unique display.
How to Check
for the Update
For users in South Korea using any
of the devices mentioned, it’s possible to check if you’ve gotten the update.
Simply head to Settings > Software
update and tap on Download and
install. The rollout is in phases, so not everyone will get it at once. You will have to be patient if it is not on your mobile phone yet.

Picture
Samsung's new update shows that the company is bent on keeping its
flagship foldables up to date. The release of this software to these devices
keeps them relevant in a very competitive market. Users of these devices can
now enjoy the latest features without waiting too long.
