Samsung is giving two of its popular
mid-range smartphones, the
Galaxy A36 and
Galaxy A56, a fresh makeover in
India. Alongside new limited-edition colours, the company has
announced
significant price reductions on both devices as part of its latest sales
campaign.
Fresh
Colours for the Lineup
When Samsung introduced the Galaxy
A36 and A56 earlier this year, the phones launched in three colour options
each. Now, both models are getting an exclusive new shade that sets them apart
as limited editions.
For the
Galaxy A36, the new colour
is called Awesome Lime, joining
the existing palette of Awesome Black, Awesome Lavender, and Awesome White.
However, the lime finish is only available for models with 8GB of RAM and
either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Customers who opt for the higher-end 12GB +
256GB configuration will have to choose between Black and Lavender.
Meanwhile, the
Galaxy A56 gets a
brighter twist with Awesome Pink.
This new look is limited to the flagship version of the phone, which comes with
12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The original colour lineup for the
A56 included Awesome Graphite, Awesome Olive, and Awesome Lightgray.
Limited
Editions with a Price Advantage
Samsung isn’t just adding new shades
but also making the devices more affordable. The company confirmed that both
phones will be sold at lower prices as part of the Fab Grab Fest shopping event.
The previous price for the Galaxy A36 5G started from ₹32,999
($372 or €319), and has now dropped to ₹25,999
($293 or €251). Interestingly, the same model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage
is currently listed at $374.99
on Amazon in the United States.
The Galaxy A56 5G has also seen a drop. It is now available at ₹35,999 (about $406 or €346), which is
₹6,000 less than its original launch price.
Availability
and Timeline
The new prices will go live starting
3 PM IST on September 27, and
they apply not just to the limited-edition models but also to the standard colour
options. Buyers now have the option to switch to either of the new colour
options or stick with the old ones.
A
Strategic Refresh
Samsung aims to make sure the
Galaxy A series is not left out. The plan is to keep the range fresh and more in tune with what buyers want.
To reach this goal, the firm will roll out new shades for the phones and cut the price tag. This move is set to lift sales as the festive season draws near.
By doing so, Samsung hopes the A series will still hold ground in a phone market that is full of strong rivals. The blend of new looks and low cost should help the phones remain a fair pick for many users.
