The operating system was originally under development by Nokia and Intel, however the Finnish phone maker has recently dumped the in favor of Windows 7 leaving the fledgling open for takers. And takers they have!
LG, and all seem to be courting the platform with the hopes to either have the running on either all or part of their phone ranges.
This move for
mobile device makers to move to newer operating systems seems to be a growing trend, one which developers of the
Android OS, Google, will be watching with increased concern.
Motorola, Samsung are also planning their own OS so to gain more control over development of their mobile devices and HP already have their own WebOS in production.
