Google Earth has been
available for
Android devices since last year, but with the
app only designed to work on
mobile phone screens,
Android tablet users have been having to make do with a less than perfect
app for their larger
screens.
Thankfully, Google have released a
Google Earth update for tablets running Honeyomb, which makes better use of the larger
tablet screen and offers special
new features.
The biggest difference between the newly updated version of
Google Earth over previous versions is that this
update allows
Honeycomb users to take advantage of the 3D view for buildings, a feature that before the
update was only
available to computer users.
Other improvment have been made to the
user interface and the way information and pop ups are used throughout the
app.
As always Google Earth is available for a free via the Android Market.
