Vivo has started dropping teasers for its next flagship phones, the X300 and X300 Pro. Early details hint at some big changes: MediaTek’s new
Dimensity 9500 processor, Vivo’s own V3+ imaging chip, and a stronger focus on video features that look designed for content creators.
Dimensity 9500 Under the Hood
MediaTek recently confirmed the Dimensity 9500 will launch soon, and the
Vivo X300 series will be one of the first to use it. It’s a direct step up from the Dimensity 9400 inside last year’s X200 phones.
Benchmark results are already surfacing. On AnTuTu, the chip scores more than 4 million points. A base model Vivo X300 also appeared on Geekbench with 16GB of RAM and Android 16. It reached 3,177 in single-core and 9,701 in multi-core tests. That performance firmly places it in flagship territory.
4K 60fps Portrait Video
One highlight is a
new cinematic portrait video mode that records in 4K at 60fps. For users who make short-form videos or want DSLR-style background blur, this could be a major draw. Vivo has built its reputation on strong cameras, and this update shows that focus isn’t slowing down.
V3+ Imaging Chip
The X300 Pro will add Vivo’s custom V3+ image signal processor (ISP). Details are still limited, but past versions of Vivo’s chips have boosted low-light shots, portraits, and processing speed. With
4K portrait video now in play, the V3+ will likely be key to setting the Pro apart from the regular model.
Taking Aim at Apple?
Leaks suggest Vivo is also working on ecosystem features. One rumored addition is a file-sharing system similar to Apple’s AirDrop, meant to connect phones with PCs and tablets more smoothly. If true, it’s a smart move as Vivo prepares to face the iPhone 17 lineup this fall.
Launch Timeline
There’s no official release date yet, but reports point to October 13, 2025. With teasers picking up speed and hardware details confirmed, the wait for Vivo’s next flagship is almost over.
