Xiaomi also planning to launch $160 Xiaoami Pad Android Tablet?

This evening’s latest rumour is that Beijing based phone maker Xiaomi are planning to launch a Xiaomi Pad Android tablet later this year!

If current rumours are true we can expect at least 2 new Xiaomi phones, a Xiaomi smart TV, Xiaomi Laptop and now a Xiaomi Android tablet all to launch on August 16th!

China’s tech community are all a buzz tonight as reports that Xiaomi are working on the 米pad (mi pad) spread. According to the details the Mi Pad will launch on August 16th, will feature a 7-inch display and cost just 999 Yuan ($160) on the Chinese mainland.

If Xiaomi are able to work their low-cost, high-performance magic on the tablet market, the TV market and the PC market, the still young start-up could quickly become a global player!
