Xiaomi doubled the capacity of its popular Jinshajiang magnetic power bank without meaningfully increasing the size. The new Jinshajiang Ultra-Thin Magnetic Power Bank 10000 45W is now in crowdfunding in China at 369 yuan (~$54). It measures 13.2mm thick and weighs 195 grams. Two 5,000mAh GSR silicon-carbon cells inside deliver 840Wh/L energy density.

The 5,000mAh original was already a hit. This one gives you twice the capacity in a chassis almost as slim.

The GSR silicon-carbon anode battery achieving 840Wh/L energy density isn't a power bank-grade component — it's the same cell chemistry Xiaomi uses in the Xiaomi 17 Max's 8,000mAh Jinshajiang battery. Sixteen percent silicon content in the anode allows more lithium ions to be stored per unit volume than conventional graphite anodes, which is how Xiaomi fits 10,000mAh into a 13.2mm body without the usual bulk penalty.

For comparison, most 10,000mAh power banks sit at 20-25mm thickness. The Jinshajiang 10000 at 13.2mm is genuinely slim enough to slide into a pocket alongside a phone without the combination feeling unwieldy.

The 10000 45W version doubles the capacity and triples the wired output speed while only adding 7.2mm of thickness — a reasonable trade for double the battery.
