Xiaomi 16 Pro Max Spy Shots Reveal Secondary Display

New leaks from China claim Xiaomi will bring back a bold idea with the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max. The latest spy images show that this device will come with a second screen inside the rear camera module. This leak confirms a rumour many fans thought was too wild to be true.

Earlier reports said Xiaomi was working on a phone with a rear display, similar to the Mi 11 Ultra from 2021. Many dismissed those claims and believed the images showed a foldable device instead. That view is changing. Photos first seen on Weibo, later spread to X, show a phone that fits the description. The device looks real enough to spark a serious debate.

The leaked photos show a wide module running across the phone’s back. This module does more than hold lenses. It also has a built-in display that looks like the cover screen of foldable phones. Two punch-hole cutouts suggest the main and telephoto cameras. A smaller ultrawide lens sits below the screen, along with an LED flash and Leica branding. The layout gives the phone a very bold look.

The leak gained strength after one image showed a senior Xiaomi manager holding the device. Another person in the same photo appeared to be taking pictures with it. Though there are fake leaks in the industry, this one has the support of insiders. This is what makes this leak harder to dismiss.

Reports say the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This puts it in line with other flagship phones. It will also bring cameras with the Leica brand and a unique rear display. The mix of power and design could set it apart.

If these leaks are true, Xiaomi seems ready to shake up mobile phone design again. The 16 Pro Max could arrive as one of the most eye-catching devices of the year.
