Elephone Claim P9000 will ship with Android 6

Elephone P9000C

If claims of a borderless design weren’t already enough, Elephone are now telling us that the Elephone P9000 will ship with Android 6.0.

On the cusp of the Elephone Vowney launch, Elephone have already started to deal out news about the Elephone P9000. As we have already reported there will be 3 versions of the P9000 launched, all packing the latest Mediatek Helio P10 chipset.

Today Elephone have given us more of an insight for the budget model of the trip. The Elephone P9000C promises to have a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 13 mega-pixel came, and a “super low price tag”.

Gizchina News of the week

The P9000C is also said to have a narrow bezel design, but the icing on the Marshmallow might be the OS installed on the phone. Apparently Android 6.0 will come pre-installed on the phone right out of the box.

This however means that we could be in for a very very long wait for the final release of the P9000C, Lite and flagship P9000. Our suggest is if you are in the market for a flagship Elephone pick up the Vowney, waiting for the P9000 might mean holding off until much later on in the year, or perhaps even earl 2016.

Actually, P6000 turned out to be a solid phone, if you take “few” lies out of the picture, eg. OTG and Lolipop (which they delivered eventually, but in a quite bad shape)

Wait for Mi4c or grab any Meizu costing around 200, and you will never regret.

Nothing good will come out of Elephone. They said bezzless, wait and see when the screen is on.

This will be as terrible as previous phones.

Elephone p8000 is one of the best budget phones of 2015, if not *the* best. Best build quality, best battery, best software (stock android if you install the official rom as per Elephone forums’ instructions).

It lacks good cameras, as most/all budget phones do.
I don’t even like the brand (much) but we’d better call a spade (to be) a spade.

who says that? you? i haven’t heard anyone else ramble over it to be the best budget phone of any year. really, i simply haven’t seen anyone even pointing out, that it is a good phone.

          Do you read reviews?

          http://www.androidheadlines.com/2015/08/featured-review-elephone-p8000.html

“For $170 it’s going to be difficult to find a phone with better battery life, a higher quality build, as smooth of performance or as good of a display as is found on the Elephone P8000.”

          Basically everybody says that.

i’ve read that one and it reads like the guys at androidheadlines never had any chinese phone in their hands before the p8000…
“At $170 it’s absolutely mind blowing what Chinese manufacturers have been able to do with smartphones.”

yes it is, but it has been like that since a few years now. and that statement itself disqualifies them for me as chinaphonereviewers. because people who constantly have china phones in their hands like s7yler or itxtutor or the guys over here are all stating it indeed is a decent phone, but no one says it is the best budget phone of the year. no one would dare to, because they know there are at least 5 better ones coming out this year. i’m not saying it might not be a decent phone for it’s price tag, it just isn’t “the best budget smartphone of this year” to me or anyone i know.
and the last part of your statement is where i can channel all my hate into.
no, it is not. look through this site and forum. look through other forums. that’s where the real discussion about a phone comes up. most of the people wouldn’t want to buy an elephone or had once and will never trust this company again, some said “fuckit, i’ll try” and bought one (like the p7000) and nearly 80% of them where disappointed or raging because of the phone, the support and everything else concerning the company. i’m all over the forums and sites for years now and my personal impression is 80-90% negativity towards elephone from the masses.
and i can post a bunch of those articles or threads if you’re too lazy to google.
but you know what, it’s always up to personal taste. go with elephone if you believe in them. maybe they really try to better their reputation and they might even be successful in trying, but for now, nearly zero people over here or anywhere else are taking them seriously. and never ever talk to me like in your first sentence again or did i try to discredit you?

Actually the p6000 seems to be the best overall product from elephone. Most are satisfied with it, with it being the only one I know of. Or actually the old p3000s seemed to be some kind of good too. 🙂

              September 20, 2015

I bought the p8000 *exactly* because it’s the opposite than p7000. Muuuch better build quality. See here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrCdwdjEYP8 , this is the guy who found out that p7000 bends…

STOP talking about Elephone, it’s rude! I told you, Elephone p8000 is one of the best budget phones, not all Elephones (I’m aware how bad p7000 is/was).

And FFS don’t be lazy just search for reviews, it’s probably the best budget phone, it gets glowing reviews, it has released sources, it has a vibrant XDA forums (roms and kernels from sources).

Just read, (almost) everybody’s happy. I’m sorry for those who bought p7000 though, the reactions are almost opposite there.

I read some of your disqus comments and not only those, but also your last comment here prove that one can not be able to have a normal conversation with you. Well, have fun talking to someone else.

            • Stef
              September 20, 2015

But you don’t try to have normal conversation. I’ve talked about P8000, you responded with P7000… you have yet to respond about P8000…

You asked “who says that?”. I answered, there’s really nothing else to talk about anyway (your response after my response was superfluous anyway) you’re right to stop the conversation.

              Cheers.

Obviously people who buy Elephones have their reason for sticking with the brand. Personally i will pick an Elephone over a Umi phone any day. Yet again, its just my opinion.

Presale on gearbest says 77mm width. for 5.5″ phone that means it’s even worse than some older phones like Jiayu S3.

I own p7000 and p6000 and I’m really happy with this brand. There might be a delay between device announcement and actual stock but elephone always keep their promises, they said code source available for p8000 and they did ! Same for android 5.0 on p6000! I’m looking forward for this brand 🙂
