JiaYu readying a new JiaYu G2S as a more powerful updated G2 Alternative?

JiaYu are an extremely confusing Chinese phone company to follow and things are getting way more difficult as it looks like the current updated JiaYu G2S isn’t the G2S after all and it will in fact come later this year.

JiaYu recently updated their low-cost G2 phones with dual-core MT6577 CPU’s and low $100 price tags. The new G2 is known by many as the G2S, however it now looks like the G2S will be a totally new phone with updated design and will launch later this year.

The JiaYu G2S shown here next to the current G2 is slightly thinner than the current model and has had the physical home button replaced by three capacitive touch buttons to navigate and choose options.

new jiayu g2s android phone leaked

The G2S is expected to feature a similar spec as the JiaYu G3, dual-core MT6577 CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, 8 mega-pixel rear camera but will a 4 inch screen rather than the G3’s 4.5 inch display and a smaller 2050mAh battery.

If JiaYu do launch the G2S with this specification and we presume lower price we expect some might opt for this phone rather than the G3, so could this mean the JiaYu G3 will be getting a quad-core MT6588 update sooner than we had expected?

I thought I would never write on a forum about a phone! But I am just so annoyed about this Jiayu company.

They are like a fake diva, always trying to stay in limelight with some raunchy news….and doing actually nothing worth mentioning! For once I wish they could deliver a phone in the market as promised in timely fashion!!

    Jiayu, no more!

Now i gave up on jiayu as they just keep on confusing me of what to do next now im eying the already produced UMI X1 which cant be got by the international buyers rather just keeping on admiring both of them in pics. With Jiayu i only left with one chance of completely giving up and that will be 1st october

I wrote to UMI X1 officials but all in vain no reply yet for providing an official online store for international buyers to have a chance of pre-ordering.

I’m definitely waiting for the G3… There is no alternative to what I need…

    Gorilla glass or tempered
    4.5″ to 5″
900×540 minimum (I read a lot of comics to go to bed)
    2000mAh minimum
MTK 6577 or better (owned a mtk 6575 and I would like the 30%+ boost)
1GB minimum (owned a 512 and always had 50mb free)

Currently only interesting phones are G3, OPPO Find 5, X1 (kinda lacks the resolution I’m looking for).

I wish Jiayu would put 4.1 on the G3 while waiting for their governmental issues to clear up…

    All this is saying
We are playing with your tossil boys and girls
Do we really need all these press releases
Or should we just say NO MORE.
It’s like a liar trying to reassure them-self that they are real
I am so over all this hype that is going no where at the moment
I know the country has lots to offer as I have just been there
But if I had not seen the change for myself
Would now think I am in Disneyland.

@peakbyte: What about the ThL W3+? MTK 6577, 1GB, HD screen, 2000mAh battery. That’s the phone I’m going for as the G3 is gonna be a looooooong wait.

all the hype just for the sake of specs, no one even know the hands on experience is so far
