Migo G9199 gets 3500mAh battery and 12 mega-pixel camera

With dual-core Android phones the norm in China now, manufacturers are looking for new ways to stand out from the crowd. Luckily most aren’t just throwing in useless features but are adding things most of us have been wanting for years such as the 3500mAh battery found on the Migo G9199!

Over the past year, manufacturers of MTK based phones seem to have settled in to a groove of producing great phones. Now that they have the specifications sorted, they are working on battery life with a combination of optimisation and bunging in a huge battery.

The Migo G9199 takes the big battery route and sports a huge 3500mAh unit which is claimed to offer users around 600 of talk time on 3G networks, 336 hours of standby in dual-sim mode or 576 hours in single sim mode.

Another great feature and huge selling point is the inclusion of a 12 mega-pixel rear camera and 2 mega-pixel front camera, which are both still quite rare on phones from any maker.

Under the hood we are treated a similar MTK set up as we have been seeing for the majority of the year. A dual-core MT6577 CPU clocked at 1.2Ghz, 512mb RAM, 4GB ROM and an Android 4.0 ICS system. Screen size is 4.3-inches with a resolution of  960 x 540, which will also help to improve battery life.

The Migo G9199 will go on sale soon, with prices expected to be in the $200+ price range.
