Huawei Ascend P2 to sport 8-core processor?

A Huawei Ascend P2 launch seems inevitable at MWC, but could this me Huawei’s first 8-core phone?

Huawei have a lot planned for the Mobile World Congress. If the rumours are true we will be seeing an updated windows phone, a possible Huawei Ascend Mini P2 and even an 8-core Huawei Ascend P2!

Gizchina News of the week

This is no the first time the terms 8-core and Huawei have appeared in the same sentence! Earlier this year Huawei CEO Richard Yu talked at CES about his companies up coming 8-core processor, which have led some to believe the flagship Ascend P2 could be the device to showcase the new chip.

Huawei have been going from strength to strength this year. They launched the 6.1-inch Ascend Mate and powerful D2 at CES last month and are working with Microsoft on Windows phones for Africa. An 8-core Ascend P2 launch at MWC would be another jewel in the Huawei crown!

I think they are launching these crazy-ass phones just to gain publicity and build a brand a internationally. But a 6.1 inch phone and 8-core processor it’s just to much.
