Lenovo A850 will boast a 5.5-inch display, Tegra 3 processor and sub $250 price tag!

Lenovo’s phone efforts continue and the company is producing more and more intriguing phones like the soon to be launch 5.5-inch Lenovo A850!

The Lenovo A850 was spotted over at China’s ministry of communication over the weekend showing off it’s large 5.5-inch phablet display and thin(isn) 9.45mm body. Rather than going the Mediatek route, this new big-screen handset will be powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor running at 1.3Ghz with 1GB RAM.

Gizchina News of the week

To keep costs low the display isn’t a HD 1080 or even 720p unit but rather a pixel counting 960 x 540 IPS unit and the main camera will be just a 5 mega-pixel snapper! Still at only 1500 Yuan ($247) and running Android 4.2.2, we’re sure more than a few Lenovo A830’s will find new homes.

XOLO Play AKA Beidou Little Pepper. But one thing to keep in mind Akash, is that people will willingly pay more to get Lenovo quality. But yes you make a good point!
