8-core MT6592 Mlais MX69 scores 27,651 on Antutu

We already know almost everything there is to know about the Mediatek 8-core MT6592 processor, but it’s nice to see what it all means up in some good old Antutu benchmarks!

Mlais were one of the first Chinese phone makers to leak that they are working on an 8-core MT6592 powered phone, and now they are one of the first to leak benchmarks of their new device.

Gizchina News of the week

The above photo is of the Mlais MX69 Pro which boasts the 8-core MT6592 chipset, 2GB RAM, 32GB memory and 5.7-inch FHD display. Benchmarks are nothing like any current Mediatek phone can accomplish with an exciting score of 27,651 points!

The Mlais MX69 will go on sale before the end of the year for around 999 Yuan ($160) with a 3000mAh battery, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, dual-SIM support, NFC, OTG and wireless charging.

We’ll bring more news of the Mlais MX69 and other 8-core MT6592 phones as we get the info.

I am very sure that my eyes aren’t that bad that I need to put on spectacles before I can read properly, but am I reading the price correctly? Abbie Is that really $160 or something else?

Wooow … $160 for an 8-core monster with 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM and scoring 27,000+ in antutu? I am surely buying this one once it launches.

    Haha …

I don’t know that that is true. I just looked up the Zopo Z980 (a $320 phone from Zopo), and it sells from third parties for .. wait for it … $290-$330.
Mlais doesn’t have the volume that Zopo does, but their MX70 (which also sells for $160-$200 in china) sells for ~$190 right now in the USA.

On mlais site its quoted for 1799 yuan around 300 usd on pre order and thats selling to Chinese market, there may had been a mistake somewhere saying this is going to be 160 usd but it would be an amazing price.

As for mlais they could be an up and coming brand as i recently got shown what was a variant of the mx58. It was a smash proof device for rough use. It was very solid, it was thrown to the ground and it with stood several impact. So they are trying to build devices that is trying to get rid of the stigma of flimsy built cheap Chinese electronics.

      November 13, 2013

its not been so much about the chips but with the correct implementation by the designers ,when designed well gps with mk6589 works great.Along with some other basic software setup for international users .

      • November 13, 2013

Yes, you are correct. If the manufacturer uses Mediatek’s correctly and includes an adequate antenna the GPS is fine.
