Oppo R829T could be the Oppo R1, more leaked images

Oppo’s entry-level Mediatek phones are looking rather nice! The latest leaks show the all glass design with an all new Oppo R1 name.

The Oppo R1, also known by it’s codename the R829T will feature a typical candy bar design with an all glass front and rear similar to the iPhone 4, Sony Xperia Z and (reportedly) the Vivo Xplay 3S. Where as those other phones are aimed further up the market, the new R1 will be an entry/midrange model costing around 2000 Yuan.

Specifications of the phone include a quad-core 1.2Ghz processor, 5-inch QHd display, 1GB RAM, and true to the rest of their range updated camera features including a 5 mega-pixel front and 8 mega-pixel rear camera. The phone is reported to measure in at just 7mm but still manages to house a 2400mAh battery!

The only downside we can see is that their phone appears to be a China Mobile TD-SCDMA model in the works ruling out an international launch.

Odd rear camera placement … seriously … don’t they have a bit sense of aesthetics? And yes, they need to lower their price. Find5 is hardly popular, if people have to spend the same amount of money to get something, they would prefer much bigger brand like Samsung. Learn from Xiaomi.
