Hasn’t been long since we learnt about JiaYu’s second smartphone from the S series being ready for mass production, and we already have a hands on video with the device!

A Chinese smartphone reseller, Pandawill, recently uploaded a video of the JiaYu S2 in action.

The JiaYu S2 is the company’s first octa-core device, which succeeds the Snapdragon-powered JiaYu S1. As you would’ve guessed, the JiaYu S2 runs on a MediaTek MT6592 which is clocked at 1.7GHz throughout the 8 cores. It carries the 5-inch 1920 x 1080p screen from the S1, and comes in 1GB/2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage variants. The device features a selfie compatible 8 mega-pixel front shooter along with a flagship-style 13 mega-pixel rear, and lastly a 2000mAh battery.

Gizchina News of the week

We also reported about the device’s processing prowess while talking about it’s AnTuTu Benchmark scores. The S2 received network licence just days ago and is slated to be in stock (JiaYu don’t have the best track record, though) with various retailers in the coming weeks. We also saw a few leaked images some week back that showed a sexy black JiaYu S2, which we expect to see soon. More information about the JiaYu S2 and its specifications can be found on the JiaYu S2 specifications page.
