You asked for them so here they are, Antutu X Benchmarks for the octacoreiOcean G7 phablet!
In the past a few smartphone manufacturers (Samsung we’re looking at you!) have used Antutu as a marketing tool, faking amazing benchmarks to look more impressive than they actually should be. Fortunately the time is up for these fraudsters as Antutu X does away with any tweaks and mods to enhance benchmarks leaving us with a genuine result.
Gizchina News of the week
After I posted Antutu, Nenamark and Quadrant benchmarks of the octacoreiOcean G7 yesterday, many readers asked if I could also test the phablet with Antutu X. The results are in the video below!
iOcean G7 Antutu X Benchmarks
As you can see it appears Antutu have performed a few Antutu tweaks of their own! On a regular Antutu benchmark the G7 receives a whopping 26,986 points where as in Antutu X the score is a more pedestrian 22,224 points!
From now on I will post both Antutu and Antutu X scores for each smartphone review we perform.
What do you make of the differences in benchmarks? Does it really matter? Let us know in the comments below!

Thanks, Andi 🙂
I actually don’t really care if manufacturers ‘over-optimized’ AnTuTu results. I just never take AnTuTu number all that seriously unless it’s AnTuTu X.
It would be interesting to compare MTK6592 with Snapdragon 600.
Andi, can you try AnTuTu X with the OPPO N1?
Yeah, I think the results for OPPO N1 would be interesting.
Samsung Galaxy S4 experienced a significant drop (27k vs 20k) when running AnTuTu X.
If I’m not mistaken, the N1, too, scored in the 25k range?
Since the N1 and the S4 are both sporting Snapdragon 600, I suspect the N1 too would be affected similarly, and low 20k seems to be the actual range for Snapdragon 600-based devices.
Wow, big difference between antutu x and regular antutu benchmark! i have got iocean g7 from 1949deal. very good design!
Will you please open a thread in MTK forums and write a short review. I am also interested in this phone. Thanks.
