Today in Chengdu, Meizu’s Flyme team outlined their planned expansion for the Flyme ROM and which device we can expect to see the ROM ported too.

Meizu have already managed to port the Flyme 3.0 ROM on to the Google Nexus and also Samsung Galaxy S4, and more phones are expected to get the Flyme experience.

Gizchina News of the week

At a get together between Flyme developers and fans, Meizu spoke about their plans to bring Flyme to rival phone including Oppo, OnePlus, Huawei, ZTE, LG and other devices. Interestingly Meizu are also targeting Nokia phones for a Flyme update, an interesting choice as Nokia Android offering are usually lower cost models. Interestingly there was not mention of Xiaomi at the show.

No timeline was announced when we should expect to see downloads popping up or which phone will get the ROM first. What do you think of Meizu’s continued plans to release Flyme on more phones?
