Xiaomi’s super-slim 5000mAh power bank lands in Malaysia

One gripe that a lot of buyers had with the 5200mAh Xiaomi power bank was that it too thick to be carried in the pocket. Xiaomi seems to be listening to its customers these days (we saw that with the RAM upgrade on the Redmi 2 as well), and late last year debuted the slimmer 5000mAh power bank that’s a lot slimmer than the 5200mAh version.

Gizchina News of the week

This very power bank — the super slim 5000mAh version — has made it to the Malaysian market, for a sum of RM 34 (US$9.4). The 5200mAh version initially debuted for RM 25, but a price hike meant that it wouldn’t sell for less than the present amount, which is the same for both, the 5000mAh as well as the 5200mAh version of the Xiaomi power bank. A 16000mAh slim version is being shown around as well, which might launch in more markets in the coming few months.

Our friends from Soyacincau spent hands on time with the 5000mAh power bank, pictures of which can be seen below.
