A few weeks ago Elephone announced that they would be offering limited numbers of their P7000 flagship at a speical launch price of only $159.99! With a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, octacore MT6752 processor, 3GB RAM and IMX214 Sony main camera, the price is incredibly low and grabbed many Chinese smartphone fans attention.

Later today (5PM UTC+8:00), the flash sale will being over on the Elephone website where you will be asked to enter your “ELE” code to secure the flagship phone at the intro price. After receiving confirmation of the order you will then have 48 hours to pay for the phone.
So who has an “ELE” code and who is going to be taking part in the flash sale?

Sounds like I’m one of the lucky ones, as I did manage to get an Ele Code.. How I use it? No idea.. Doesn’t work as a coupon code on coolicool.
The instructions for using the code are displayed on the page once you have won a code. So appearantly you didn’t got anything at all.

It’s a two stage lottery, 1. Get the code from the site. 2. Try the lottery on purchase. I signed up with three different family members. Only received the email for applciation on one. Entered this the first second on the site. Waited patiently for an hour to get that message. It’s a sham, but a clever one at the expense of the customers time. They’re hoping people then buy the phone at the higher price given the emotional interest invested. Instead of supporting these clowns go with a provider who doesn’t play silly games such as Asus, Lenovo, Jiayu, ZTE.
