Fingerprint unlock speed test: Ulefone Be Touch 2 vs iPhone 6 vs OnePlus 2

Ulefone’s Be Touch and subsequently the Be Touch 2 feature some of the best fingerprint scanners in the sub-$200 range. Ulefone seem to be mindful of that fact.

The Chinese smartphone maker also has quite a nice marketing team going for it, one that produces a feature-specific video every now and then. Today’s video is about the fingerprint scanner on the Be Touch 2, and how it performs against the mighty OnePlus 2 and the mightier iPhone 6.

Needless to say, the Be Touch 2 is the cheapest of the three phones. The device also happens to be Ulefone’s flagship for now. Looking at the current market scenario though, it doesn’t seem like the Be Touch 2 will get to hog the throne for too long.

Gizchina News of the week

Take a look at the video in question below:

Without being biased towards any of the three phones, you’d have to admit that the scanner on the Be Touch 2 is quite up to the speeds of the other two. What’s different about the OnePlus 2 is that the phone needs no waking before it proceeds to match your fingerprint pattern.

I think that is the little bit of war of OS and tuning…

I think this is a good contrast, the scientists in order to speed 0.01 seconds to pay how much effort.

If you hold the phone in the exact same way, aka not moving your finger 1 pixel too any direction the Touch 2 is fine. You continue not talking about all the issues with the Ulefone. Gi$china.ulefone.com soon

Terrible comparison. Ulefone is given a head start of almost 1 second each time… This video just shows how fast the op2 is compared to the rest, and that the ulefone is comparable with the iphone 6 in terms of recognition speed with the typical longer animation lengths that ios has.

Ha ha, why can’t ulefone better than iPhone?Ulefone take pictures I think it is better than oneplus2 and iPhone6plus.Oneplus2 unlock speed is the fastest, ulefone second, iPhone6plus third. After all, iPhone6plus’s fingerprint is a very early technology.

What I said, or what I meant to say, was that ulefone and iPhone 6 are similar in turns of speed compared to the op2(the op2 is in its own league, relatively). But yes, I agree that the ulefone is slightly faster than the iPhone, but that also the longer animations of iOS make it seem even longer overall. Not sure why you brought up pictures into the conversation.

Is anyone having problem with the GPS on the Ulefone Be Touch 2 ?
It’s off by 15 to sometimes 50 meters, it’s impossible to use as the GPS.
Other than that everything is perfect.

For the unwary, the aim of any “official” article is not whether it is Right or Wrong, Good or Bad, Nice or Nasty, etc., but the aim of any “official” article, first and foremost, is to elicit/”vacuum-in” reactances. The more reactions there are, mindless or not, the more a website/”forum” is able to say to Data-Collectors/”Interested-Parties” that the site is as “Active as Hell”.

And btw “Yash”, when visiting the GizShoppe for said Ulefone BT2 [via the oval-shaped, blue-coloured url] , the UBT2 freebie blurp mentions a cutting-off date of 17th August for said freebies. Is that being updated by UBT2 packers or will some bright-sparkling “packer” not throw-in said freebies “beecuz eet is now past 17th August 2015”.

Please revert regardless of whether this post is liked or disliked. And btw, the GizShoppe [or “Gearbest” or whatever is the reality behind GizShoppe] also indicates/”aludes-to” said UBT2 being “EU-based”. Is that true or is it merely another case of a half human having to manage 2xgazillion updates which is why, “We cannot possibly keep up with the updates and you’ll have to wait, Klevar Dickie”.

Perhaps this is the reason why in these modernday Lie-by-Default times, the contents of websites are seldom accurate. Good [excuses] for those infested with the DNA of Downtown TelAviv-Kiev, aka Count de Money, but very, very, very, very, very, very [had enuff?] confusing for the genuine buyer. If only Honesty is The Best Policy, there won’t be the need for some “Financial Reset” where the purchasing power of The Almightee Dollah will be worth, perhaps, 30 Cents to the Ole Dollah, on awakening one fine day which might be the harbinger of mushroom clouds aplenty. Yes, bring on the UBT3 which might cost you a mere $687.00.

I own an ulefone be touch 2 for two months and i have disactivated the fingerprint scanner as it barely recognise my finger print. Usually it take 4-5 tries till it unlocks. It is not practical at all.

Maybe you should avoid using your nose-picking finger to activate your phone 😀

OK OK… i’m joking : there are many comments about Ulephone’s fingerprint unlock identification failures on the net.

BTW this test is gay as hell… fingerprint unlocking is not only about speed but about how convenient it is.

I own 2 Be Touch 2’s and I must say that I’m quite happy with the fingerprint scanner. I’m using the Be Touch 2 for a month now and I think I didn’t have to try more than 2 times in order to unlock my phone. Even my girlfriend has added her finger and the device also works great (i know it’s uses the finger and it doesn’t make much difference, but still it’s a different person)

Anyway, uelfone be touch 2 is the only phone both under 250 USD dollars and with fingerprint that is placed in the front panel.
