iPhone 7 appears on supplier site with wireless charging and A10 chip

iphone 7 leak

The big news for Apple fans this year is that an all new iPhone is expected to launch, and already there are a ton of rumours about what this iPhone 7 might look like and feature including these images from a supplier website in China.

As we all know, the iPhone is made in China by Foxconn, and we also know that in recent years the security around upcoming iPhone models hasn’t has been as fierce as it once was. Leaks have lead to iPhone 5 clones launching before the iPhone, 5, and iPhone 6 components released ahead of its launch too.

Chances are the same will be seen for the iPhone 7 as Chinese suppliers accidentally (?) leak details the new iOS phone. What makes news of the iPhone 7 more exciting than the iPhone 6S (for Apple fans at least) is the fact that this will be an all new model featuring a new design and more features (if Apple are following their usual launch cycle).

iPhone 7 images leaked on supplier website

This brings us to these new images of an alleged iPhone 7 design found on a popular Chinese components supplier website. The images clearly show a new design that mixes features of the current iPhone 6S with details from the previous generation iPhone 5S.

Gizchina News of the week

What we get is a phone with 2.5D glass from panel, and flat metal sides with a 3.5mm headphone jack in the base of the phone and single speaker. The design is traditionally iPhone, but appears much thinner than previous generations despite rumours the device will have a larger 3000mAh+ battery and up to 256GB memory.

The images don’t show the rear of the iPhone 7 but do show images of the phone sitting on a wireless charging dock, and we also get a glimpse of the inside of the new phone and the powerful Apple A10 chipset.

In addition to the iPhone 7, Apple are also rumoured to be building a new smaller iPhone for this year, a trend that Meizu may also be following with their rumoured launch of the Meizu Pro 5 Mini later this month.

What Apple does usually has a direct impact on what Xiaomi, Meizu and a few others do. Everyone should care.

      • January 4, 2016

Apple can GO TO HELL and BURN TO BLAZES for all I care. Apart from their OS (which I hacked into my HP laptop by the way), I could care less about any other of their devices.

I don’t believe WHAT they DO affects the other phone manufacturers in any way apart from them comparing their products.

What they do affects the entire industry. The smartphone and tablet evolved because of them. Some of the most popular Chinese brands and UI’s are inspired by Apple. I don’t like Apple products and I can’t stand that everyone acts like Steve Jobbs was a great inventor (he stole other peoples ideas). But I know enough that without Apple we wouldn’t even be on this site now.

Many already have done it. Apple is once again playing catch up to Android. My Kingzone K1 from 2014 had wireless charging.

But this technology is very slow so maybe Apple will change that.

Not really on my Kingzone and my wifes Samsung it takes about the same amount of time to charge as on cable.

There’s a technology called bigger battery wich no Chinese or American or any what so ever seem to understand yet. That if you put a decent spec’ed phone on a device with a 5000mah+ battery it will sell.
Is a theory because they don’t care to see it but maybe this will be the year someone will try…

There are already phones with big batteries from all companies. The problem is phone design vs battery dimensions. Many companies are looking to come out with thinner and smaller phones with the same display size. Personally I prefer a thinner phone, I would love a huge battery but the idea of carrying a phone that is over 8mm thick doesn’t appeal to me at all. With each new chip that comes out though we are seeing greater energy efficiency so the same batteries will theoretically last even longer in the future.

              January 6, 2016

Well I get your point. But also to me it seems there’s is something they are keeping to themselves, the big companies I mean, as there are technologies that could double battery life by now but they seem to be waiting for something to happen before applying them… I understand the fancy for a thin phone, it’s not my thing but I get it. But maybe the battery chemistry should be already migrating to graphene and the other fancy flavors or them being able to cramp more Mah+ into smaller spaces to gain batter life.

            • balcobomber25
              January 6, 2016

Graphene is the future but it’s still very experimental technology, we are still a few years away from seeing it used in any capacity.

Remember you work for Tech companies and we know as you have told us, but with the resources this companies have that have become more and more exponential, my believe is that if you can cool down a quantum computer the everything else is done. Maybe they are just setting the pace for markets and now is not the time for more “”freedom” to the people.
I might be wrong on many cases, so take all that with a grain of salty water hahahaha

            • balcobomber25
              January 6, 2016

I work more on the sales/customer service side, my entire focus has been marketing, advertising or public relations. I am not involved in the technical decisions or discussions, I am the one who sells the public on those decisions lol. But I do know that if there was better battery technology that allowed phones to maximize on screen time they would available. A phone manufacturers wants you to use your phone as much as possible during the day, especially the larger companies like Xiaomi and Apple who have their own app stores that make millions of dollars in sales and advertising. The more you are using your phone, the more likely you will be purchasing apps or seeing their ads.

But the sad part is while we have seen great strides in CPU technology, Cameras, Displays and other components; battery technology has not seen much advancements. Almost all batteries are still lithium ion. The battery companies themselves are the ones who need to answer this though.

              January 6, 2016

OK fully understood and agreed. The big companies should then absorb some of those battery companies and push the limits and see where does that takes us, I’m eager to know how much empty space is there on Mars. ???

so whats the advantage of “wireless charging” ?!

            • balcobomber25
              January 6, 2016

Not having to plug it in. With my Kingzone I had my wireless charger set up on my night stand by my bed. I just placed it down on the mat and walked away and it would charge. I could pick it up in the middle of the night and not have to worry about fiddling with a cable to plug back in the dark.

              January 6, 2016

              nifty !
another feature i want in my phone – to be 😀

            • balcobomber25
              January 6, 2016

I prefer Quick Charge in the current phones tbh, right now it takes around 45-50 minutes to fully charge my phone. Most days when I get home from work I have around 30% left and it takes about 35 minutes for it to be full.

If they can figure out a way to speed up wireless charging it would be awesome but given it’s current state it takes about as long as a normal charger.

I liked it on my old phones. Just come home and rest my phone on a charging pad, no cables to plug in. But now that I have quick charge and can charge my phone fully in about 45 minutes, I don’t need it anymore.

      • King
        January 4, 2016

charging pad is a nice concept… they should put it on dining tables or some some such furniture where one would generally place their phones. it will interest many… and wireless charging is something that will become common in the next couple of years (maybe).

      • Joel Adames
        January 5, 2016

We should be looking for light charge were the lights in the rooms are coded to emit a pulse that can be read by the phone sensor and thus get a charge. Is in early stage. But if I’m not wrong they are testing this in Denmark or Sweden… Someone could double check.

Show me an example where the next iPhone looked similar to the S version? Did the iPhone 6 look similar to the 5s? Nope. Did the iPhone 5 look similar to the iPhone 4s? Nope. The reality is the S always looks like the previous model not the future models. the iPhone is on a tick/tick cycle. The non S gets the design changes, while the S version gets internal changes.

    • balcobomber25

Matt is right, the S line has always been just an updated version of the previous model.
