It’s a day for ZTE leaks today. Earlier it was the Z11 Mini and now a mystery flagship from the Axon range.

ZTE’s Axon range is the companies attempt to merge style and performance and attract global buyers and already the phones are officially available in market across Europe (Spain being the latest).

These benchmarks from an unknown Axon model with the codename A2017 have recently surfaced and show a phone with top of the range features that are likely to worry any flagship smartphone.

The benchmarks show that the phone is running Android 6.0.1 with a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 display, 2.1Hhz Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB memory (51GB available to the user).

Axon A2017 specifications

The specs go on to tell us the rear camera is a 19 mega-pixel and front is a 7 mega-pixel, but these are likely to actually be a 21 mega-pixel rear and 8 mega-pixel front once the phone is launched officially.

These are the types of specifications we expect to see from high-end phones for 2016, but a 2K display at only 5.5-inches seems a little overkill to us, let’s just hope the battery life it up to standard.

    Will it be ugly though..?

The way the Axon was pieced together with that stitched leather and the crazy speaker grilles on the front all in a dodgy space-age silver was as if Frankenstein had chucked it together!

The design is fine probably unless they wreck it somehow. As long as this is priced under 400 dollars…I’m in.

Correct the “2.1Hhz Snapdragon 820”. That reminded me of Z81.

Hey guys can you just quit it with the 2K screen bashing?
The page is constantly cluttered with VR this and VR that so it should be obvious by now to you that those work better with 2K … So if it ain’t bittong you I don’t think it is worth mentioning it as a bad thing over and over again…
