One of the best wearables made available to date, according to many, is the Xiaomi Mi Band. The device recently got an incremental update in the form of the Mi Band 1s, and we’re assuming a more significant update in due now.

What is good to know is that the rumour mills feel the same. Word is that the Mi Band 2 will be out this quarter.

That isn’t all; the device is expected to bring along with it the first ever smartwatch from Xiaomi. Huami, the factory that produces Xiaomi’s Mi Bands, will be making the Mi Band 2 and the Xiaomi Smartwatch. The info allegedly comes directly from Huami boss Huang Wang who says that the devices will be out within the next two months.

Xiaomi have had a rather clean track record of launching devices that aren’t just hype, but substance. The Mi 4i is probably the one phone that didnt go down too well with the market. It will definitely be interesting to see what Xiaomi do to the wearable market with the new Mi Band and possibly the smartwatch.
