Dual cameras are about to get affordable with the latest 360 phone

360 youth phone dual cameras

360 are no strangers to dual camera phones, but a new device spied today has the potential to bring the feature down to new, lower price points.

Visually the new 360 phone spied on TENAA today is similar to previous 360 phones. There is an all metal design, fingerprint scanner on the rear, dual LED flash and even two camera sensors on the rear too.

What is different though is the idea that this new ‘Youth’ phone could cost as little as 1499 Yuan in China once launched. That’s the lowest price we’ve seen so far for a phone with 2 x 13 mega-pixel rear snappers.

Gizchina News of the week

The rest of the specifications aren’t too bad either, and according to TENAA the 360 ‘Youth’ phone will get a 3200mAh battery 5.5-inch AMOLED FHD display, 8 mega-pixel front camera, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage and a Snapdragon 430 chipset.

360 already have phones priced at 1999 Yuan, so this device looks set to break in below the 2000 mark, want’s more there could even be a chance for this phone to make its way to India too!

Would say realjjj will be excited about this but he is super sensitive these days and might start crying like a 2 year old that crapped his diaper.

He’s gonna be so gutted that he missed ‘leaking’ this one, but I’m sure he will come along and break down the component costs and then tell us how they could’ve upgraded the specs whilst making it cheaper?

Yup and he’ll quote a bunch of meaningless benchmarks to ‘justify’ the lower price.

Not excited at all, the dual camera set up doesn’t justify the high price tag for what the rest of the phone offers, in my opinion

The pricing is good for a 4/128 phone but the SD430 kills it. Would have been better with SD650 and 3/64.

I was mostly talking about the soc indeed, in the end that’s what make things rolling… Also, during this year we’re going to see 4gb ram phones for under 200$, while the 128gb of space is a big thing indeed, but many producers are starting to add 128gb microsd support, so there’s a work around… Also, I highly doubt there’s going to be a single version with that much space, mlst likely we’ll have 32 and 64 gb version too, and “starting from 1499 yuan” means 64 and 128gb version would cost more… For now, that’s just speculation, but the version you suggested would have been much more interesting indeed!

This is a great phone and the price is super aggressive…

Mediatek said that in a bunch of years they will make a 18 core SoC with LTE cat 20 on 5nm.

Would be good if they make a dual core A73 one & redefine entry lv segment but probably tu dumb to do it anyway.

It’s unfortunate that your father was unable to learn how to use condoms.
I get it that you are frustrated by your inability to qualify as an intelligent form of life , thus the ferocious trolling but , at the end of the day, the lack of functional neurons is no excuse for the lack of decency.

It’s unfortunate you can’t have an intellectual conversation so instead you choose to attack others with the maturity of a prepubescent boy.

That comment didn’t even deserve a reply.

He only missed to say that he had sex with my mom last night and then it would have been the reply of the perfect 12 years old that goes by the book.

He thinks that he sounds smart with those comments or copying and pasting a bunch of benchmarks showing how he spends most of his days (now he’s even mocking the authors when he finds a news before them)
I picture him stealing coins from his mother’s wallet to buy candies.

Everybody mocks at him and he still doesn’t get it.

No hope my friend, no hope.

See this as a fashion. Still one really good sensor & lens is much better than two decent ones & certainly doesn’t cost more.

At that price it wouldn’t be affordable.
All those cams (2 on the back + front) cost at most 20$.

Going OT about “dream phones”: nubia just launched a p10 phone with a 5000mah battery…

        more info?

        • MattD
          July 3, 2016

There’s an article down at gizchina. it, but there aren’t a lot of infos… So far we know it’s a 5.5″ fhd, helio p10, 3/64gb (probably it’s expandable, but no infos on that, just my guess), 5000mah battery and 13mpx rear shooter (don’t know from who)… Pricing is 1699 yuan, which is around 250$… Not a bad price from a major like nubia, and also the camera should be “not bad” at least from what we’ve seen from nubia so far… If I heard anything else, I’ll let you know

            • MattD
              July 3, 2016

Definitely! P10 seems fine in power consumption (or, at least, after 6753 I was expecting something waaay worse) and, compared to other battery phones, it will surely have a better camera… More than a battery phone, it looks like a mid ranger with a inflated battery… Which is exactly what I’m waiting for ?

              July 3, 2016

From my very limited time with it at MWC, it’s somewhere in-between the 53 and X10

I guess you’re referring to computing power? I was talking only about efficiency… Please tell me if you meant otherwise!

            • balcobomber25
              July 3, 2016

              I meant overall usage.

            • MattD
              July 3, 2016

So… You meant efficiency too? Sorry for being pedant, I want to have a clear picture of the situation and, so far, you’re the only one I could ask for first-hand experience ?

            • balcobomber25
              July 3, 2016

I can’t really speak too much on efficiency, I had a half hour of hands on time with a Gionee S8. It wasn’t enough to really judge how efficient it is or isnt but in that time the battery only dropped by about 10% with heavy usage. They had a few games and movies preloaded onto the device and everything ran smoothly without issues.

SoC is not the best, but not the worst either, it seems it has some pretty decent GPU for whom may concern.
