Xiaomi Mi 6X official high-res images give us our best look yet ahead of April 25 launch

Barring any change in plans, the Xiaomi Mi 6X will be dropping soon, and fortunately, we already have a glimpse of what the device will look like. The company confirmed earlier on Monday that the Xiaomi Mi 6X will be the star of the April 25th event that will be held in China.

While we have seen a couple of unofficial leaks in the past few weeks, today’s leaks or teaser, if you like, comes directly from the company and gives us what looks like the best look yet.

The company in the early hours of today via its Weibo page has released 5 new high-resolution images of the upcoming device revealing the rear and the front sides. Though the latest set of images doesn’t reveal anything we have not seen leaked out before, but they do reveal that we might be seeing 5 color variants of the Xiaomi Mi 6X.

Gizchina News of the week

Precisely, the teaser reveals that the Xiaomi Mi 6X will come in Cherry Powder, Red Flame, Sand Gold, Glacier Blue and Black Stone color options. The Glacier Blue appears to be the only new color addition here, as the other options already exist with the Xiaomi Mi 5X.

That said, itis evident from the images that the Mi 6X will sport a full-screen design with minimal bezels on both sides, a chunk of it on the top and bottom ends, with a dual camera lens and a LED flashing adorning the upper bezels, while the rear which appears to be made of metal is adorned with a vertical dual camera setup and a fingerprint reader.

Talking about what we can expect on the device, the device is widely rumored to come with a 5.99” display with a 2160 x 1080 resolution, a 20MP front facing camera, dual rear cameras, 2910mAh battery and will launch outside of Chian as the Xiaomi Mi A2.

We will get to learn more about the device at launch, which is still days away, but we can drool over these sweet-looking photos while we await the arrival of the Xiaom Mi 6X.

Xiaomi has already shown many new phone models, why no fingerprint reader in front, I do not understand this.

not hard to understand, they are trying to reduce the bezels, there is no room fro a fingerprint sensor with slim bezel and 2160×1080 display.

Well at least it doesn’t have a notch but I wouldn’t by any phone with such a small battery, must be well over 3000 mAh to tempt me preferably above 3500.

… and the 3.5mm jack seems to have vanished. 🙁 I bet there’s no NFC either
take me back to the days where you could get phones like the Nubia Z9 Max. SD810, NFC, good camera, dual SIM AND microSD (at the same time!) and great looking design.
Can I have a 2018 updated Z9 Max please, SD660 and cameras like on the MI Note 3 will be fine, thanks.

That’s right, but narrow frames are not a priority for everyone, and that’s probably going to be the fifth phone that looks the same, they should give people a choice.
