Redmi Note 5 Pro users in India are in for a treat as Xiaomi has just announced a new update for the handset in India. The device will soon be upgraded to Android 8.1 Oreo with an update to MIUI v9.5. The global ROM is more precisely numbered as version 184.108.40.206.OEIMIFA. The update will start rolling out this Friday on June 29 via OTA.
The exact change log of the update isn’t yet known but 4K video recording, Project Treble, and dual 4G are reported to be incoming with the big upgrade. The update was under beta testing for some time and it encountered some bugs which needed some ironing out. Now, this is the global stable ROM of MIUI 9.5.

Also, if you don’t get the update in the first batch that is on June 29, then you’ll probably get it some time later. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is one of the hottest budget smartphones of 2018 with an unbeatable price. It has a hugely improved array of 12MP + 5MP rear cameras from its predecessor and also a great 20MP selfie shooter.
We at Gizchina reviewed the handset and found it to be just a great overall package for the money. Check it out here.
