Today, Huawei held a conference in Shenzhen. In addition to the Huawei Nova 3, the company revealed some interesting information concerning its activity and also released the Huawei TalkBand B5. It’s the successor of the TalkBand B3 launched two years ago.
First, Huawei’s smart wearables business has an annual growth rate of 150%, which makes it first in the industry. At the same time, it ranked first for the Jingdong 618 single product sales. And finally, it is the second brand in the Chinese smart wearables market.
As for the Huawei TalkBand B5 itself, this smartband comes with a full-color AMOLED touchscreen at 1.13 inches and covered with a 2.5D arc glass. The display area is 2.4 times that of the previous generation model. Therefore, it won’t face any difficulties when displaying messages or news.
The wristband + core body design is still the selling point of the Huawei TalkBand B5. That’s why the body can be used as a Bluetooth headset. This feature not only brings more convenience but also greatly improves work efficiency. For example, it is not convenient to use the smartphone during the meeting. So you can still check the voice messages through the Huawei TalkBand B5. In addition, the Huawei B5 Bluetooth headset function also supports caller ID identification.
The band comes with a built-in triple-core audio chip that supports dual-MIC noise reduction. Even in noisy environments such as airports and high-speed rail stations, high-definition voice calls can be obtained. Plus, there is a 108mAh battery, providing up to 6 hours of talk time.
As for appearance, the Huawei TalkBand B5 uses a mechanical watch technology. The main body uses a 316L cold forged stainless steel. It has an IP57 waterproof rating. The wristband width is 18mm, and there are three versions, including business, sports, and fashion styles.
Apart from all the aforementioned features, the band supports HUAWEI TruRelax technology. By analyzing heart rate variability, it can accurately assess the wearer’s stress status and provide biofeedback breathing training service to help users release pressure regulation status.
The Huawei TalkBand B5 also uses a HUAWEI TruSleep 2.0 sleep monitoring feature. Through the principle of cardiopulmonary coupling dynamics frequency analysis technology, it can monitor the complete sleep structure and identify 6 typical sleep problems. Then, it will suggest personalized sleep services to improve sleep quality.
There is also a sedentary reminder, a voice assistant, a smart/transaction alarm clock, remote control photos, a find phone option, and other user-friendly features.
The sports version of the Huawei TalkBand B5 costs 999 yuan ($148), the business variant comes at 1199 yuan ($178), and the fashion model costs 1499 yuan ($223). They will go on sale on July 19.
