The popular forum Reddit has been filled with users complaining about problems of slowness when transferring files within the system of the Xiaomi Mi A2, as well as when emptying the applications cache.

The problem speaks of read and write speeds of the internal memory of the Xiaomi Mi A2, the users reports that it’s so slow which cause the phone to experience a significant delay.

Gizchina News of the week

This problem is experienced, for example, when using a benchmark that generates a large file, this causes the device to freeze. Other users report that simply cleaning an application’s cache of more than 50 MB causes the device to become unstable to a point where it can not be used.

Other users claim that the transfer speed through a USB connection occurs at a transfer rate of only 700Kbps.

The interesting thing about user reports is that the overall performance of the phone when performing normal tasks, such as playing a game, is not affected. The device becomes slow and unstable when the game tries to save the progress and writing informations in the file system.

The problem seems to be limited to the Mi A2 models with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Hopefully soon it will be solved.
